While participating in your WorkBC job search you will gain access to WorkBC’s network of employers, professional resume writing support, coaching on interviewing and networking, and assistance related to the negotiation of terms/conditions of your employment.

WorkBC offers Skills Training opportunities for Job Seekers who don’t yet have the necessary skills, or who require upgrading to find work in specific in-demand industries in BC. These job seekers may qualify for funding for tuition, books/supplies, living supports, dependent care, and transportation.

Job Sustainment
Job Sustainment Services are post-placement supports available to job seekers and employers, and are aimed at ensuring successful job placement.
Individuals in the program have access to customized supports and job coaching, workshops on job success and career development, as well as 52 weeks of follow up support from after their job start date.

Self-Employment
Have you always dreamed of self-employment? Have a great idea for a business? WorkBC offers eligible clients a free 48-week Self-Employment Program that will give you the knowledge and resources to start your own business.
The Self-Employment program assists you to develop and implement a business plan and provides you with individualized coaching throughout the launch of your business. In addition to the free training, funding may be available for living supports, dependent care, transportation and disability supports while getting started.

Specialized Services
Everyone’s employment needs are different, so we cater to them all by offering specialized services and supports for Francophones, immigrants, youth, youth at risk, people with disabilities, those who have survived violence and/or abuse, Indigenous Peoples, or any British Columbians in need of help finding work.
